Day 1
ARRIVE DELHI

Arrive at Delhi's international airport a representative will be waiting for you outside the EXIT gate of arrival terminal, holding a placard of your name. Met upon arrival and transfer to your hotel & will escort you to make your hotel check-in smooth & faster for overnight stay. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2
DELHI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

India's capital city, Delhi, is a unique and fascinating blend of two very different cities, each with its own distinctive flavour and character. No visit to India is complete without visiting these two complementary halves of its capital city - Delhi, both Old and New. Morning proceed to visit Old Delhi which include the photography of magnificent Red Fort, as well as Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and the Jama Masjid, the country's largest mosque & a visit to the crowded lanes of Chandni Chowk (Silver Market).

Afternoon: Enjoy the visit of modern New Delhi with UNESCO Heritage Site Qutab Minar (the World's tallest free standing minaret & it has five distinct storeys with the height of 72.5 Meter), one more UNESCO Heritage Site - Humayuns' Tomb is a forerunner of the Mughal style of architecture. Drive past India Gate, the city's World War I war memorial, the President's residence, Parliament House and the Secretariat buildings, all designed by Lutyens. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3
DELHI – PATNA by FLIGHT

Depart for airport for early morning flight to 2500 year old ancient city of Patna. On arrival at Patna transfer to hotel. Afternoon excursion to Vaishali where Lord Buddha preached his last sermon announcing his approaching Nirvana. Visit stupas holding urns containing ashes of Buddha and Ashoka pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark places sanctified by Buddha. The place is also known now for famous Madhubani paintings. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4
PATNA – RAJGIR (110 Kms / 3 Hrs Drive)

Morning drive down to Rajgir. The capital of 6th century Magadha empire. It was revered site of Buddha's discourses. Buddha spent many years here. Visit Gridhrakula, Sapataparni cave, Ajatsatru fort and Venuvana. Afternoon visit Nalanda - the world's oldest university founded in the 5th century. Also visit monasteries and temples with impressive Buddhist & Hindu images. The Institute for research into Buddhism and Pali literature which houses rare manuscripts, is also worth visiting for the enthusiasts. Archaeological museum is also not to be missed for the rare collections. Overnight at hotel. .

Day 5
RAJGIR – BODHGAYA (200 Kms / 5 Hrs Drive)

Early morning after breakfast depart for Bodhgaya by road. Enroute visit Baraliar caves - the earliest examples of rock cut caves. Most impressive craftsmanship of carving and rock inscription can be seen. These caves served as inspiration for the setting of E.M Foresters "A Passage to India". Arrive Bodhgaya and overnight in the hotel..

Day 6
BODHGAYA

Bodhgaya is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centres. It was here that Gautama attained enlightenment and became Buddha under the "Bodhi" tree Satabodhi temple, Japanese and Tibetan monasteries along with Magadha university museum are also to be visited. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7
BODHGAYA – VARANASI(250 Kms / 6 hrs Drive)

Early morning after breakfast depart for Varanasi by road. Arrive by afternoon and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit ghats and temples and Benaras Hindu University. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8
VARANASI - SARNATH

Early morning boat ride on river Ganges to see the beautiful sunrise at Ganges. After breakfast excursion to Sarnath, the principle centre of Buddhism. It was here around 530 B.C that Buddha preached his 1st sermon after gaining enlightenment. Also visit Dhamekh and Dharmarajika stupas.

Day 9
VARANASI – KUSHINGARA (250 Kms / 6 hrs Drive)

Afternoon drive to Kushinagar - the place where Buddha passed into Parinirvana. Visit Ramabha stupa which stands on the spot where the body of the Lord was cremated. Also visit Natha Kumarka Kot enshrining the large recumbent figure of Buddha in the state of Nirvana. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10
KUSHINAGAR / LUMBINI / SRAVASTI (250 Kms / 6 hrs Drive)

Morning excursion to Lumbini, the place where Buddha was born. An ancient shrine with an image representing the nativity of Buddha is still preserved. Afternoon drive to Balrampur and visit Sravasti and other Buddhist shrines enroute. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11
BALRAMPUR – LUCKNOW by DRIVE & LUCKNOW- DELHI by FLIGHT

Drive to Lucknow to catch flight to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to international airport for flight to onward destination.
